Volunteer
With each of the activities and opportunities the Virginia Hereford Association sponsors or is involved in, there are many opportunities to participate and support.
Shows and sales require a ton of behind the scene activities including data entry, checking people in, helping in the barns and the show or sale ring, and more!
Many of the youth programs include a selection process to evaluate applications for scholarships, heifers, the next VA Hereford Queen, etc.
The Heifer Program is ALWAYS looking for mentors.
And much more! Feel free to reach out to any board member if you’d like to volunteer.

We are passionate about supporting our youth with many different opportunities – after all they are the future of this breed that we all love so much!
Hosting an annual show, providing awards for Juniors that participate in state shows at the Beef Expo and State Fair each year, providing scholarships and heifers to deserving Juniors,
supporting our Virginia Hereford Queen, and assisting Juniors who travel to South Eastern Regional and Junior National Shows to represent Virginia all require sponsorships.
We have several different accounts to help support our Youth – Show Sponsorships, General Sponsorships, and Sponsorships for SER and JNHE. We would love for you to show your support of our youth in any way you can!
